FOZ DE IGUAÇU

UNESCO declared Foz do Iguaçu National Park, in Brazil, a Natural Heritage of Humanity in 1986, only two years after the naming of Iguazu National Park in Argentina. The visiting area has a single circuit of walkways facing the falls. The panoramic view it offers is very imposing. The circuit is 1,200 m long. The stairs that make it impossible to circulate in wheelchairs.

There is an elevator at the end of the circuit. The staircase to get up has 130 steps and is 220 m in length and presents a medium difficulty. Many say that from Argentina you live the Falls and from Brazil you only watch them from a beautiful balcony.

BOAT TRIP (MACUCO SAFARI)
This trip reaches the foot of the waterfalls in semi-rigid rubber boats. It takes an hour and a half and there is one section through the rainforest that is made in vehicles specially adapted for observing the vegetation from close-up. It leaves from the Brazilian Park and costs US$33 per person.

SERVICES
The journey to the Waterfalls is made in buses of the Park's own transport system. Automobiles and buses park in the entrance to the Park. Visits begin in the Visitors' Center where they buy the entry tickets. There are restrooms designed for disabled people, space for attending babies, diaper service, banking and first aid. For eating, there is fast food, an international restaurant, and a snack bar.
