FRAILE PINTADO

At 91 km from San Salvador de Jujuy, over the southern banks of the Rio Ledesma River, a small town dedicated to the growing of sugarcane and vegetables appears before the eyes of whoever arrives: Fraile Pintado. Due to the tomato farms standing on the area, it was also known as the Tomato City. It emerged as such in 1859 with the establishment of the bottling factory La Reducción.

It can be visited all year round. It has grill and camping services, sport fishing, trekking, biking trails, four wheel drive routes, photo safaris, flora and fauna observation posts, horse riding and agro tourist excursions are some of the activities offered to those who choose to visit it.

ATTRACTIONS

Aguas Calientes de Vinalito Hot Springs
An abundant flow of hot springs classified as "medical thermo mineral waters", with a high concentration of chlorine, sulphates and alkaline bicarbonates coming from different wells, with temperatures between 40 and 60º C. There is an establishment opened the whole year with individual immersion baths, and opened air or covered thermal pools.

There is a paved road leading to it that turns into dirt at the final stages of the season.
