Lahuen adi Natural Park, (located 13 km west of Puerto Montt)

This includes part of the El Rincon property, which has the only central valley larch forest with medium-age specimens, with a trunk diameter between 30 and 60 cms. Here there are also other species, like coiges and cinnamon trees.

As regards fauna, species like the chucao tapaculos, black-throated huet huets, Darwin's toads, choroys, monitos del monte, hares and chingues may be watched, among others.

There is a track offering the visitor a chance to visit part of this unit and see the larches and their associated vegetation. The walk lasts 20 to 30 minutes. There is an information and administration agency and vehicle parking.

Possible activities are:

• Hiking on foot trails - an easier option than trekking, and lasting a shorter time (one day, with a picnic).
• Bird Watching, with flying, behavior and Chilean habitat included.
• Flora and fauna sighting, consisting of strolls through wild areas to admire animals and flowers.
• Photography, consisting of taking indoor or outdoor shots at (authorized) places.
