Alacalufe has a landscape of low mountainous islands, with channels and fiords, covering approximately 2,313,875. has. The weather of the area is of two kinds: cold-temperate with humidity and isothermal tundra with precipitation.
Botanical species to be observed: coastal shrubbery, coastal thickets, coihue and peat bog formations. Another characteristic of this reserve is its great variety of birds.
