End-of-the-World Train Trip
The "End-of-the-World Station", where the traveler may board the Southern Fueguian Railway, is on the outskirts of Ushuaia, 8 km to the west of the city, in the valley between Monte Susana and the Le Martial Mountain Range. This railway is also called the "End-of-the-World Train", and attracts visitors not only with its elegance and period style, but also with its historic background. Using this means of transportation, the inmates of the erstwhile "Ushuaia Prison" were taken to their forced labor camps. The narrow-gauge elegantly decorated rolling stock is drawn by powerful steam engines.
"End-of-the-World" Post Office
This is the only one of its kind on a Beagle Channel island, and has the distinctiveness of being the southernmost post office in the whole country. Postcards and letters stamped with its unique sea lion seal are real collectors' items. It was opened in December 12, 1997, after a contract was signed between the Argentine Post Office and the Isla Verde S.R.L Company.
Interpretation Tours
The tour track that starts at the "End-of-the-World" Post Office takes visitors to go through one of the world's forests with the highest concentration of "Knots". Emerging from the wood, the traveler plunges into a natural garden formed by cinnamon trees and "Notros". Some meters ahead, balcony vantage points display the splendid beauty of Ensenada Bay and Lapataia Bay.
The track runs among the typical "bandera" trees leaning away from the predominant southwestern winds, which afford a majestic view of the Beagle Channel with its Argentine and Chilean shores. Another pathway leads visitors through the woods surrounding Caleta "Vito Dumas" where the sea looks crystal clear and strongly hued. Then it moves away from the shore and crosses a plantation of "Notros" that displays all their beauty in December.

To the west is found the Carbajal Valley, nestling between high mountains and offering a westward view of the Chilean limit. To the north is the Bebán Pass, which was formerly used as an excursion pathway. Near the Tierra Mayor River Valley, National Route Nº 3 will take the passenger to a picturesque area crowning the Olivia River.
