Hidden, silently and in perpetual watchfulness, you watch both earth and sky, waiting for the perfect, once in a lifetime picture that would capture the majestic, lingering flight of a condor, that will have as a background the sun disappearing behind the Puna highlands. Suddenly you seize your 35 mm instrument, concentrate, focus on the miracle... and shoot. Time is frozen for eternity, perhaps. Hunting for images in the Andean world, where wide magical curtains open for the eyes of the photographer whose eyes can see what others have not been able to see, his experienced finger on the trigger... exploding flashes and multiplying "clicks" in an intense session of photographic shooting; but the ammunition runs out and you have to change the roll. Jumping through the sea to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, the visitor will find there so many sea and land creatures and so many different views that can hypnotize the camera.
Change of scenenery. Roads full of history and freezing hills with spectacular gorges, drops that terrify the toughest adventurer in the Andean highlands... and then you arrive to a viewing point thousands of metres above sea level. You raise your lens, point to the sky and resolve to wait for the arrival of the condor, the biggest flying bird in the world and, without any doubt, one of those most yearned "preys" for by image hunters that can be captured at the Ulla Ulla National Reserve in Bolivia, or at the Colca Canyon in Peru.
Thanks to its vast geography and great diversity of flora and fauna species, the Andean region is a perfect destination for photographic safari lovers, one tourist activity that has become more intensely cherished in recent years.
There is no fatigue or boredom in waiting, only the desire to shoot and capture the images and shades of a region full of attractions and natural wealth.
